As I mentioned in my last post about the Great Plains Young Professionals Summit, there is more information to be revealed. Well, I am happy to announce that I finally have some of that ‘more information!’
The keynote speakers for the summit are Susan Power, Joel Kotkin, and Michael Solberg. Other speakers include: Larry C. Skogen, Ph.D., Michelle Wall, Jerry Haas, Mark Puppe, Kevin Tobosa, Mike Mabin, Dr. Debora Dragseth, Scott Wild, Tracy Finneman, Beth Demke, Duane “Dewey” Tietz, and NDANO.

Dickinson Young Professionals Annual Chili Cook-Off

Dickinson Young Professionals (DYP) is once again holding their Annual Chili Cook-Off. The event will be held on February 22, 2010 and will kick off with a social at 5:00 pm. The officially tasting will begin at 5:30 pm. It will be held at the Strom Center (1679 6th Avenue West) in Dickinson, ND.
Attendees will have the chance to win prizes as well as eat some amazing chili! There will also be the opportunity to play games and socialize. Even if you haven’t yet been to a DYP event, come join us!

Mark your calendars for the first Great Plains Young Professionals Summit!
The summit will be held June 3-5, 2010, at the National Energy Center of Excellence on the campus of Bismarck State College in Bismarck, ND. The Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals are planning and hosting the event with assistance from the North Dakota Young Professionals. This event will bring together young professionals from across the state and region for networking and educational sessions focusing on social networking, sharing best practices, community development, personal development, professional development, and leadership for the future.

Mark your calendars to kick off the Holiday Season with Dickinson Young Professionals!
The Dickinson Young Professionals (DYP) is having the yearly Christmas Party. DYP is bringing Scott Wild’s Wild Trivia Tour to Dickinson on December 10! The party will start at 5:30 with a social followed by food, fun, and hoggers (come to find out exactly what that entails!)! You could even win a few door prizes!
The party will be at the Strom Center (located right behind Herbergers). Member costs will be $10.00 and nonmembers will be $20.00. We look forward to kicking off the holiday season with you!

First Annual Dickinson Young Professionals Banquet

The Dickinson Young Professionals will be hosting its First Annual Banquet on Friday, September 11, 2009. The social will begin at 5:30 pm with dinner to follow at 6:00 pm.
This event, which kicks off the new DYP year, will be a collaborative effort on behalf of all the DYP teams and will include:
* Bob Upgren, motivational speaker and professional Chalk artist, will speak to the group on leadership.
* A silent charity auction
* Installation of the newly elected officer team
* Networking opportunities to connect with other DYP members
Members who are up to date with yearly dues, $25, can attend the banquet at no cost. If you would like to attend and not renew dues, the banquet will cost $30, with all proceeds going towards the Dickinson Young Professional Organizational Development. Ticket reservations will begin soon so be on the lookout for updates.
