Yesterday was the 9th Annual Strom Conference. We had a great turnout of 244 people! Considering the DSU Student Center Ballroom will only hold 250, we felt this was an incredible turnout! The morning was kicked off by Steve Glasser, Executive Director of the Strom Center, followed by Dr. McCallum, President of Dickinson State University. Our first presenter was Barry Maher who spoke on “Filling the Glass.” Our lunch speaker was Joel Bleth of Solar Bee & North Dakota’s 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year. Our final speaker of the day was Gregg Vanourek who spoke on “Life Entrepreneurship.”Also, in the morning there was a business plan competition. There were 6 teams who competed. The winning business plan was submitted by BSC student, Molly Backhaus, who will be attending classes at DSU next fall. For more information on the conference, you can visit The Dickinson Press online.

Thank you to everyone who made the conference a success…your efforts are much appreciated!

Please keep an eye out for upcoming information regarding the 10th Annual Strom Conference next year!!
