Taste Testing Open House

NR Catering will be holding a Taste Testing Open House on June 9, 2010. The open house is being held to celebrate NR Catering’s third year in business. The event will take place at the Golva Elementary School in Golva, North Dakota from 4 to 6 pm. It is being sponsored by Food Services of America. DICKINSON, N.D. – Reserve Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. for the Using Evaluation Tools to Strengthen Your Development Program audio conference to be held at the Strom Center in Dickinson.
COCO (Coalition of Charitable Organizations) will be holding educational opportunities via audio conference for non-profit training. This audio will be presented by Linda Lysakowski, ACFRE. The sponsor for the event is DLN Consulting, Inc.. COCO’s educational opportunities are free to COCO members, $25 for non-members.

10th Annual Strom Conference This Thursday

The 10th Annual Strom Conference with be held this Thursday, April 22, 2010, at the Days Hotel in Dickinson, North Dakota. The day will begin with a continental breakfast and registration at 8:00 am. An opening note will be presented by President Dr. Richard McCallum of Dickinson State University, Steve Glasser, Strom Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Executive Director, and Jerome Strom, our Honored Guest. Jerome is the inspiration for the annual conference and is a major component to the Strom Center. We are very excited to have him present at the 10th Annual Strom Conferencce!
After a short break, inspirational speaker Bob Upgren, will be the first keynote speaker presenting “Most Artists Can’t Draw- Unmasking the New World of Work.” After Bob, there will be another short break, followed by the first breakout session. Each of the three breakout sessions will consist of three different topics. Attendees will be able to choose which presentation to attend (Please refer to the registration form for breakout session topics).
Lunch will be provided during the conference’s second keynote. Stacy Sturm and Nicole Morrison-Mathern of URL Radio will be presenting “From Floods to FedEx- We did it!” These two entrepreneurs possess a great success story in today’s society. Breakout sessions two and three will follow lunch. After the breakout sessions, Bob Upgren will close our day with the final keynote speech.

High Five Looking For Volunteers

The High Five Inc Board is currently seeking volunteers to become board members. If there are not enough board members they might not be able to hold their camp. The board meets a few times over the winter months and once a month in the spring and summer months. The meetings are only approximately 30 minutes to one hour.
The High Five Camp is a collaborative effort between High Five Inc., Badlands Human service Center, United Way, and Dickinson Public Schools. The camp provides a fun, structured experience for emotionally, socially, and behaviorally challenged youth ages 6 to 13.
